Today we visited Trillick, where, after Baglady’s visit last year, shopowners and school pupils alike decided they wanted to be Northern Ireland’s first plastic bag-free town. Bernie and Malachy at the village Costcutter reduced their plastic bag usage by 75% in only 2 weeks, helped in no small way by the amazing efforts of the local school kids. See what’s happening now, as well as a very exciting statement from local Sinn Fein MLA Barry McIlduff.
