Northern Ireland Eco-Schools’ ASAP message is now going out to the world
The As Sustainably As Possible message is now going out to the world. Can you believe it!
Congratulations to many thousands of you who’ve already taken your ASAP Pledges = as a whole school, as a class, or as an individual. You’ve started something that might seem quite small, but can make a BIG difference to the world.
Baglady Shirley Lewis has started a very special radio show — The GLObal TV SHOw / The GLO online — on Radio Blue Mountains on 89.1FM in Australia. It goes to air at 10am in Australia, which is 1am our summertime, and 11pm our wintertime. You can listen online via Radio Blue Mountains, or wait for the podcast on our Northern Ireland website.
These schools have already joined the Baglady on air/in cyberspace and there will be many more to follow: Ballymacrickett, Braidside, Castle Park, Comber, Hazelwood, Kilbride, Kilrea, Kircubbin, Larne High, Orangefield, Parkhall, Sacred Heart Boys, St Comgalls, Tir na Nog and Ulidia.
Local politicians have also been proud to support local children with their pledges. You can check this out on our website www.bagladyproductions.org.
Schools that have already pledged ASAP: how’s it going? Have you found it easy to keep your pledge – or hard? Are you ready to take a new pledge?
Schools that have yet to Pledge ASAP: there is still time! Just go to here and take the Kids Pledge – it really is that simple!
You can make taking the pledge more fun by downloading our Pick a Pledge Spinning Board, or the Pick a Pledge finger game. Either use the already included pledges, or use a blank template and make you own game to share with family and friends.
Kids: why not share your ASAP pledge with another school across the world? Parkhall Integrated Primary School are hoping to connect with a school in Australia with the help of Baglady!
Do you have friends or family in another country that you’d like to invite to Pledge ASAP? Let us know!
FINALLY!! Watch this space for details on how to enter the GLObalvision Song and Dance Contest. News of this contest will be sent out to 53 Eco-Schools countries around the world very soon. And, the NI BLP Team will be contacting all schools shortly to invite them to take part in this amazing competition!
