Beauty, Rubbish and Picking Up
We enjoyed our day in Enniskillen Castle in April and as a result we decided to our own cross-border survey on people’s attitudes to plastic bags. We surveyed 92 people at Swift’s Super-Valu supermarket in Lisneskea, Co. Fermanagh and about 120 in Comaskey’s Super Valu supermarket in Clones, Co. Monaghan. We are doing this as part of our project for the ‘Super Valu Primary School’s Tidy Towns Initiative’ – in 2006 we were national winners. Our visit with you gave us the idea to undertake this survey and maybe you would be interested in the results when we have them all calculated. We also organised the ‘Annual Spring Clean up day in Clones and we had over 180 people out to help Clean Up Clones! Maybe you can visit our school sometime or allow some of our class interview you – it would be great for our third ‘Gren-Flag’ in 2008. Thank you, from 5th class.
