You said: “Losing contact with fire blunts us…” and what went through my head was “losing contact with earth, air, water, OR fire blunts us”, and of course, that is exactly what we’ve been doing, all 6.7 billion of us, losing contact with not just fire but also Earth, Air, and Water.

we are losing touch with the natural world and this is terrible!!
e.g. we create machines to travel. coughing CO2 out into the environment, and contributing to global warming!!
(but smoke from fire can also contribute to this!!)
