Beauty, Rubbish and Picking Up
Baglady meets NI’s new Environment Minister, Arlene Foster at the NEEDabag? Film Launch at Queen’s Film Theatre, and returns to Ballymena Bus & Railway Station to do something she’s wanted to do for a long time.
Saints and Scholars Integrated Primary School join the local fight against huge electric pylons; Mullavilly PS report on their environment work.
2nd year Queens medical student Kim Stevenson and her pal, Percy Plastic, join Baglady on a visit to Taughmonagh where the first signs of greenmice appear; then meet Centra managers and No Alibis bookshop owner Dave to discuss how saying no to plastic bags is good business sense, too.
We’re now over halfway through our film project. Things are going amazingly well, full of fun and inspiration. Have you come to visit us? Seen the pics? No?
Here’s where you can see us over the next few weeks doing out public edits in the afternoons (don’t forget you can always follow our progress on the map):
Thursday 7th June: Market Square, Dungannon
Friday 8th June: The Mall, Armagh
Saturday 9th June: Guildhall Square, Derry
Come along for a chat, we are all friendly folks.
Finally, we haven’t managed to get our films for Ballycastle and Downpatrick online yet: we’ll be doing this just as soon as we can. Thanks for your patience.
